Politics & Preaching (II)

One thing I like about blogging - this growing web long phenomina - is finding people that articulate things better than I do. They hone my thinking, challenge me to be more true or thoughtful in my own views. The story - Focus on the Fanatics - articulates the potentially frightful abuse of falsely mixing political convictions with faith convictions. Check it out.
P.S. I have another friend (read = Mark Yim) who always makes me think more and who I madly respect for his own views. If only he would stop just surfing the blog world and enter in with his own…

Where do you find these things? And I agree with you about Mark. He needs to stop browsing and start posting his own stuff.

Wow. That’s some pretty great commentary. Tom has some great points, though I would have liked him to explore some of the reasons why the FotF folks are getting so fanatical about these judges. My read on the situation is that it is because they view the abortion issue as life/death and worth any cost. You can make your own judgment about that.
Thanks for the props, Scott. Reading Tom’s blog is pretty humbling. There’s a man with an organized and hard-working mind.

Does that mean that you’re going to start your own blog now?

Seems as though the jury of persuasion is still out on getting Mark to start blogging.
