Two Words: Tim Rattay

“Of course, Head Coach Jon Gruden, whose not much of a fan of taking a week off in the middle of the season, will be at team headquarters, putting in some extra work. He’s even got a specific project on which to spend the extra time.Asked what he planned to do with the bye weekend, Gruden had a two-word response: “Tim Rattay.”
Though there are no guarantees that he will become the starter, it is a good sign that, according to an ESPN report, Gruden was quoted as saying:
“Well, we didn’t bring him in here to hold a clipboard forever.”
I know there is ongoing debate about God’s role in sports in general (-read Abner’s blog “Idolatry at its Best” for the extreme view-), but I can’t see it as anything but a blessing to get traded as the #2 quarterback on a 1-4 team going nowhere to the possibility of being the starter of a 5-1 team headed towards the playoffs.

Good luck to Tim. He has been a great blessing to our ministry!
