VR update - ultrasound tomorrow
I just recieved the latest update from Alex & Susan about their pregnancy. Please pray for them tomorrow as they have the next ultrasound to better determine the diagnosis. Here is their most recent letter.
Dear Friends, Thanks to all of you I have talked to over the past couple of weeks and for the fact that you have been praying for us. I believe we have benefitted from those prayers. For myself, I think I have been struggling with “emotional fatigue” over the past couple of weeks. I started to feel it lift a little bit a few days ago, just in time to jump back into it tomorrow! Susan and I continue to fight the fight of faith, falling down and getting up each day.
Our ultrasound is at 1:30 pm tomorrow at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, where we had our intial ultrasound. We are hoping and praying for the kidneys to be smaller in size, which would indicate less fluid in them and thus less concern for the VACTERL syndrome.
Thanks for joing us in this journey and holding us up in prayer. I just finished writing a note like this for a work colleague whose son has a brain tumor and is having an MRI today at 1:30. Sometimes it is really tiring to face and endure the suffering that is around us. I know that I really appreciate your prayers for the energy and strength to just do what I need to do each day. God bless us all with the touch of Jesus today in some very real way.
Love,
Alex
