I’m taking off tomorrow morning to Chicago to attend the Acton Institutes conference: Towards a Free & Virtuous City. I was invited to go last year, but it didn’t work out with the beginning of the school year. So with my sabbatical, it seemed like a great opportunity to take advantage of.

I’m flying out a day early to take advantage of getting some time with a few ministry friends in Chicago. The great part is that I’ll get to hang with them, eat some deep dish pizza, ribs & take a tour of Chicago’s architecture (I would be an architect in another life…)

Should be a great trip. I won’t be blogging for the next few days, but when I return, I’ll have an update from the trip, plust my early reflections & lessons from this sabbatical season I’m in.
